Spidermunk

A Spidermunk is a small creature, believed to originate from Finnea Prime. Several snuck aboard the USS Black Hawk during cargo runs while it was near Deep Space 15.
Spidermunks range from 1.8 – 5.3 oz in weight, 2-6" in length, and have eight legs that span about 5" fully extended. They don't have fangs but enzymes in their saliva can break down most organic materials, and their webbing is similar to that of a Darwin's Bark Spider. They live 2-3 years in the wild and none have been captured to be studied to see how long they'd live. Their top speed is 40 mph at a full out sprint and 20 mph on average.
