In a couple mere hours, the crew of the USS Black Hawk find their ship immobilized and in disarray after the Syndicate's failed attempt to take the ship. Before the ship can get underway again, repairs must be made.
Contents
Summary
As life starts to return to normal aboard the Black Hawk, the crew realize how deeply they were hurt. Warp drive, especially, is still offline, leaving the ship floating and defenseless.
Captain Harvey Geisler confronts Emily Carter, his former yeoman who had betrayed the entire ship, only to learn she was acting in a vain attempt to save her family, the people behind the Golden Stars. Immediately, Geisler sets a plan into motion to find their homeworld.
