The USS Sovereign, under the command of Hiroyuki Mitsuro was assigned to Task Group Belvedere operating in the Gamma Quadrant as a part of Task Force 9. The Sovereign was under Consortium control. It participated in the Battle of Deep Space 11 and delivered the fatal blow to the USS Black Hawk, only to be disabled herself at the hands of the USS Cochrane.
