Usage

USS Black Hawk

The USS Mississippi was one of two Danube-Class Runabouts assigned to the USS Black Hawk. Since her assignment in 2382, the Mississippi flew on over forty missions.

Her first mission under the command of Captain Harvey Geisler, the USS Mississippi was used to ferry personnel to and from Altair IV during the mission where the crew investigated the disappearance of the research team left on the planet.

The Mississippi was also used to recover the Away Team delivered to the space station Razmena via Karemma Cargo Vessel. On Stardate 65328.6, while the Black Hawk was still rebuilding its computer after internal sabotage and a failed boarding attempt, the Mississippi was deployed to act as the Black Hawk's eyes and ears.

While in an alternate universe, Captain Geisler once again employed the use of the Mississippi as a personnel and cargo transport to the space station Razmena.

USS Black Hawk-A

Following the destruction of the original Black Hawk, the Mississippi was salvaged, repaired, and assigned to the Century-Class Black Hawk-A. The small vessel enjoyed a bit of peace until being pressed into service for her first assignment inside the Finnean Convergence Zone, which was to transport an away team to Alpha Trios IV.

The Mississippi was called upon a month later at the Kalisa Sector. Refitted with Multi-Adaptive Shielding, the Mississippi ferried an Away Team from the Black Hawk to the library planet.

A few weeks later, the Mississippi was used to carry an away team to the surface of Penduli V where it and its command crew was captured by the Dolmoqour. The Mississippi was then used as a Trojan horse as it transported the infected Away Team spread the parasites throughout the Black Hawk. Captain Geisler later commandeered this runabout in order to escape the Dolmoqour and launch a Class VIII Probe toward the Convergence Zone barrier. The Mississippi was later rammed into the side of the USS Black Hawk where the runabout detonated on impact, reducing it to unsalvageable rubble.
