Captain Vaanika Suresh is the Commanding Officer of the USS Chimera operating within Task Force 9. According to Intelligence reports, Suresh, then First Officer of the Chimera, gained command by staging a shuttle accident that cost the life of Captain Mazza, Counselor Camarra, and Ensign Morel, a Flight Control Officer.
