The Intelligence Department is composed of 10 people. This department is responsible for gathering and deciphering information and presenting it in a way that a Commanding Officer can understand.
The department is led by Template:ChiefIntel and reports to the Executive Officer, Template:ExecutiveOfficer.
Command Positions
The Command Team is comprised of 2 officers.
- Chief Intelligence Officer
- Classification: Officer
- Description:
He/she is responsible for gathering and organizing information and/or intelligence and presenting it to those with a need to know. They are a department head and report directly to the CO or XO, though they may have reports for the other department heads. They offer advice on ship/base operations especially in times of conflict or covert operations or when facing the unknown. They are responsible for maintaining a network of contacts to gain that information, whether they be Starfleet assets or outside sources. They are the information specialists. They are expert in all aspects of the intel team.
- Assistant Chief Intelligence Officer
- Classification: Officer
- Description:
Assists the Chief Intelligence Officer in gathering of intelligence and/or information. Assumes the responsibilities of Chief Intelligence Officer in times of absence or incapacity of that officer. Oversees intelligence projects when the CIO is unable to provide direct supervision. They have a familiarity in all aspects of the intel team.

it becomes available. This means partly organizing, partly evaluating reports and presenting it to an Intelligence Officer, who will decide the importance of it. S/he has to read through every information to perform her/his duties well.

- Description:
This crewman is responsible for the thorough analysis of Intelligence information as
it becomes available. This means partly organizing, partly evaluating reports and presenting it to an Intelligence Officer, who will decide the importance of it. S/he has to read through every information to perform her/his duties well. This position is the most common in the Intelligence Department, small departments sometimes only include one Intelligence Officer and one Analysis Specialist.
