The Black Hawk delivers the X'annon to the Trading Outpost Razmena and works to uncover more about what is happening in the Gamma Quadrant.

Summary

After review of data retrieved from the X'annon, it is discovered that a stolen replicator and Federation subspace transceiver will be auctioned off at a trading outpost called Razmena. Lt. Commander Kos is elected to lead an Away Team, transporting to there via the X'annon. Accompanying the Away Team is LTJG Dash, LTJG Noxa, LTJG Hicon, and Dr. Stuart.

As to not attract attention, the Black Hawk withdraws to a different part of the sector to study a nebula that is about to collapse into a star. The crew, especially Commander Geisler, begin to experience strange hallucinations. It is later discovered that a previously undetected radiation from the nebula was the cause. The Black Hawk continues its research, but from afar.

Meanwhile, the Away Team observes the sale of the stolen technology, but are quickly detained by a Paradan and his Dosi henchmen. The Runabout Mississippi arrives and rescues the Away Team, but is chased by the Paradan's men. The Black Hawk was forced to cut her survey mission short to retrieve the Runabout from her peril.
