The Selamat are a race native to the planet Selam, in the Gamma Quadrant. Powerful telepaths, they were subjugated by the Dominion. After the Dominion War, they broke free of the Founders' stronghold, and started spreading their influence through the quadrant. They are used by the Consortium for their telepathic abilities.
