The Moray Nebula is a rather large nebula, spanning multiple sectors and lightyears. It is a strong source of gamma radiation. While it is not fatal in limited exposure, long term exposure will lead to radiation sickness, genetic degradation, neurological diseases and eventually death. It remains uninhabited, though it is suspected that local pirates have constructed a base or two within that is well-protected from the nebula's effects.
